| | MARTIN RABBETT IS THE GOLD IN THIS ADVENTURE! | |
This should have been an exciting adventure of the Mel Fisher family, searching for The Atocha sunken treasure, off the Florida Keys. The family was beautiful and close, with Martin Rabbett stealing the show as Dirk Fisher, eldest son and skipper of the family ship. He was energetic, loving, and the only child to show us any excitement for this undertaking. The shortcomings of this movie were found in the lack of characterization. We just didn't get to know these people.
Martin Rabbett made a winning effort to project his character's personality, to let us know who he was and what he was all about. Besides being a notably handsome hunk, he has a natural charisma and charm. When he drowns prematurely, it was very sad, because we actually knew enough about his character to miss him. In fact, after his death, it was easy to lose interest in this film, because the only REAL person was gone. It became very apparent that Martin Rabbett carried the entire film. Except for Martin Rabbett...the actors should have been searching for their characters as ardently as they searched for the treasure. Unfortunately more than treasure was lost in this movie!
July 9, 2004Well the video might have been good if it had not been scrambled, well i guess that's what you get with buying second hand.
January 15, 2002What a great movie! The actor portraying Kane was FANTASTIC! (and what a hunk! ). I'd recommend this to all my friends!
Thanks, Kane!
