One of the most magical of all Christmas films.

What a pity this version of "The Tailor of Gloucester" is not currently available. Narrated by Lynn Redgrave with much English Christmas and Beatrix Potter lore included, this musical staging starring Ian Holm as the tailor is utterly enchanting. Dance, caroling, nursery rhymes, exquisite cat and mouse costumes, snow falling gently over a fairytale English town, charming actors -- it has it all. Please talk to someone about reissuing it! My old VHS tape, copied off public television years ago, won't last forever ... December 28, 2005
