This film deserves a DVD release. A very funny WW2 movie where a Navy PR Unit believes going to the front is the most grevious punishment to give out to any of their members. And the taking on the building of their own Officers Recreation Hall has lots of laughs.
March 7, 2006I first saw this movie when I was a kid. Now, 20 years later, I still love it! The dialogue is so clever and the actors' delivery makes it even more so! The jokes have never lost their appeal even though I can quote the entire movie! A definite must-see for comedy-lovers!
November 24, 2002This is a very funny movie that I really have enjoyed. Unlike most comedies, it is still funny the twentieth time you see it. This one has given me a lot of good laughs. The best part is the man they hire to be the "ideal sailor."
