I remembered watching this show at a real young age,and liking it.I used to be a huge Freddy freak, and still am.Though,I couldn't get into this like I did when I was younger. The movies have some cheesy effects, but the TV show is worse. Its violence and such is incredibly watered down. The blood looked like ketchup.Actually when one person was killed,it kind of squirted out like ketchup. This was just downright boring.I thought it'd give me a glimpse into some new info.,but it just shows what Freddy's Dead showed better. I don't know what too say here.? -My best friend has bought
this for my birthday. -This august. -It's on the 23rd.! -And
he knew how bad of a fan I am of this show..? -But after
watching the dolbey tape transfer. -It was so terrible scratched up. -Come on..? -my friend bought it; -for nothing and I wish they at warner brothers studio. -Get their acts

together and release this T.V. -Series. -I am a hardcore krueger fan

But; -Warners too stupid or dumb; -two understand the hard
core fans really needs this two put out on DVD..! -So why
waste good time watching a great episode that some store has
set on shelve for some years with terrible scratchness which
I will half too live with for the rest of my life..?

Accorse..! -Great classic episode..! -Great classy performance from the lengedery; -"V." -Actor.. -Englund.. -Englund also
made his triumph return in 1989 in the horror movie.. -"Phantom of the Opera.." -Great genera fair. -But that movie failed
on all levels. -Their is no Freddy Krueger.. -In that one.
No scares in London..

But over all I like; -Englund in it. -With his Phantom make
up..! -And this incredibly work as he plays a childmeloster
ho is put on trial and is somehow release from the cop ho has gotten no search warrent for this guy..? -The cops daughter.
Lisa and Marrit live with fear of Freddy which he hides in
every corner bush and trees of the cops house..!

Much like the first; -"Halloween.." -Where he kills the
cop; -Lou..!

I like the beginning scene which make me chuckle quite a
bit when Freddy introduce us his icecream truck which makes me wonder if it came out of a cheech an Chong. -Flick. -But it makes a great scare.

What is so lame and boring is the ending where Freddy's razors become a weapon drill where he drills the cop's teeth out.. -that won't ever let you go two the dentis again..! -Wont it.

But as we fans; -just enjoy Freddy being burnt; -and; -for the kills. -and the hole Shickable thing..!

This episode does fail on a cheesy scale and no plot hole
like the first; -"Nightmare on Elm Street.. -1984.. -Had..!

"Are you ready for Freddy..?"

I got this for Christmas from my friend and had to watch it that very night. You can definitely tell that it is from the 80's. Ok, the story doesn't quite follow the movies, but how many different conflicting things have the fans seen by now? I really enjoyed this telling of the story to show how Fred became the dream killer we all grew to love in the "Nightmare on Elm Street" movies. I will say that the acting definitely is not award winning, although I think Robert Englund(Freddy Krueger) does a great job as usual. The story is good enough if you are a fan you will most likely really get a kick out of it. Now let's keep our fingers crossed that Robert Englund can get the Freddy Prequel movie up and rolling in another year or two.
Keep the faith. December 29, 2003

When I came across this some time ago, it took me down memory lane. I remember when this was a series on FOX-25 back in the day. This was actually the pilot episode, directed by Texas Chanisaw Massacre director Tobe Hooper.

This series actually went more for the horror than the comedy we were used to from the Nightmare movies. I always liked the feel of the series because it had a very eerie feel to it. While I never caught this episode in its days on television, I looked forward to seeing it.

"No More Mr. Nice Guy" shows the supposed origin of Freddy Krueger. He is a child murderer, found not guilty, due to the police forgetting to read him his rights. He eventually returns to terrorize the children in their sleep. This episode contradicts a lot of what has been explained about Krueger in the film series but is still worth adding to your collection if you are a die-hard Nightmare On Elm Street fan. I was shocked because this is the first episode I have seen it was scary but when Freddy becomes it cracks me up!I bought this movie off the internet and was excited when it got here.It starts off Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund,ANOES SERIES) gets off free from a trial because when he was arrested but he was never read rights. The parents of ELM STREET ARE MAD and well U know the rest.It is gory.Shows Freddy getting burned,Claw marks on a guy,and Freddy killing a guy at the dentist by pulling his teeth out.You will laugh at the jokes that TOBE HOOPER put in this episode fans as we present the first episode "Freddys Nightmares:NO MORE MR. NICE GUY!" Enjoy March 22, 2003
