If Clint Eastwood didn't win an Academy award for this movie, he should have. This is a story about three men. All of whom are very, very greedy. Each one of them possesses their own set of rules regarding getting the "goods". This is an older movie that was first released in the 1960s (I was just a mere kid then). I remember it fondly because of its unforgettable musical score. I have that tune on my cell phone now. I remember that either the score or that particular cut won an award the following year. Anyway, if you like westerns, you'll love this one. April 7, 2008

Morricone's musical score makes this film a masterpiece in Eastwood's second installment of the man with no name trilogy. One of my favorite westerns of all time. Five stars! January 14, 2008

For a Few Dollars More DVD

This is one of the spaghetti western movies that launched Clint Eastwood eventually onto a path of fame and fortune. It's worth watching just to see how far he's come.

Recommended for fans of the spaghetti western and Clint Eastwood.

For A few Dollars More is an excellent movie. It is way too underrated. There is more action in this one than The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly, and doesn't seem to be slow paced. It's a story about bounty hunters, badits, rewards, and revenge. Clint Eastwood plays a bounty hunter known as Manco. Lee Van Cleef plays a tough, hard-noosed, former Confederate Army officer turned bounty hunter named Colonel Douglas Mortimer. The two men are on the trail of El Indio, a blood-thirsty bandit, and murderer. The only problem is that El Indio has too many men assisting him. And there is a 10,000 reward for the capture of El Indio, dead or alive. Their solution; become partners, and split the reward. There's a twist though. Manco simply wants the reward, while Mortimer's reason for getting El Indio is more personel; he wants revenge for the rape and murder of his sister. This is by far one of the most action-packed western ever made. November 29, 2007

the man(clint eastwood)returns as a bounty hunter trying to capture a ruthless bandit named indio. after failing to capture him, the man decides to team up with a rival bounty hunter(lee van cleef who also stars in TGTBATU)in order to capture indio, dead or alive. few dollars more is an improvement over fistfull of dollars but still doesnt stand up to the epic scale of the good, bad, ugly. still, its a great western that shows leones growing style as a director. its an action packed epic full of interesting characters and i think it has the best paceing of the dollars trilogy. it jumps from gunfight to gunfight without over doing the amount of action. overall its a gret film and one of the best westerns ever made.
